Steve Rubel: The MacBook Air is the Biggest Test Yet for Cloud Computing

I think Steve’s right on the money with this and it’s enough for me to want to order an Air just to play with the concept. However the biggest knock I have on the Air is a lack of a built in 3G modem. Having to use a USB 3G dongle just seems like a complete pain.

Given that I’m writing this on my beloved 17” MacBook Pro I’m not about to get into a PC vs Mac debate, but wouldn’t it be better to get a similar sized Sony or other PC with built in EVDO?
