Anybody using GrandCentral? I’ve had an invite for a while and I’ve considered activating it so that I can route calls across multiple numbers, cell phones, etc. The problem for me is SMS. Folks want to know my mobile number. They want to send me text messages. If you have my GrandCentral routing number and my mobile number, aren’t you just going to call the mobile number? Or if you call the GC number and get voicemail won’t you then just try to text the mobile number? What if I’m not carrying that phone?
I’d love the ability to be able to carry a complex device (iPhone) when I need to do business and a simple device (say a SonyEricsson Walkman phone) on the weekends when I care less about email but want to get calls and SMS.
Is there a service that can route SMS across different cell numbers?
