“Fleeing from the Cylon tyranny, the last Battlestar, Galactica leads a rag-tag fugitive fleet on a lonely quest… a shining planet known as Earth.”

Who says there aren’t still heroes galaxy? Someone is building a full scale model of a Battlestar Gallactica Mark 1 Colonial Viper (the 1978 version) and documenting the process on their WordPress blog.

There’s been a lot of crap going on in the world. We’re isolated, tired, and just worn down by fighting to get by. Still sometimes you just come across someone doing whatever it is they love for no other reason than they want to and it reminds us that there’s still joy to be found all around us.

I think this is an awesome project and wish them the best of luck with it. Can’t wait to see how it turns out.

  1. I loved how the original Battlestar Galactica was essentially a sci-fi retelling of the Biblical book of Exodus, when you consider the colonists as the Hebrews and the Cylons as the Egyptians. Still would have liked to see that episode where Commander Adama parts the Milky Way with a command from the Lord, though. 😀
