I wrote a post last month about trying to spark creativity through limitation, in particular through primarily using my medium format Hasselblad 500c/m and Mamiya 645 Pro for the month of March. A busy consulting schedule and some cool weather didn’t make it easy to get out but I was still able to finish a few rolls.

By the end of March I had shot around 12 rolls of film. Early on shooting mostly black and white was appropriate as the Seattle days were still cold and grey. Only in the last couple of weeks did it feel right to bring out the color in the blooms and on a trip to Vashon Island, just outside Seattle. I’ve only posted the images above to Flickr and Instagram but will continue to work through the rest.
It was an interesting experiment with good results, and one I will continue through the summer with a new concept each month.

These are really nice images. I just love shooting Medium Format film myself, there is something about that feel.
