LAist: Been in a Hit-and-Run?

I’ve only been in one accident since moving to LA and I’m pretty sure the woman would have driven off if she’d been able to. It turned out all the insurance information she gave me was bogus. Thankfully no one was hurt in the accident. Apparently though if she’d gotten away there’s only a 50/50 chance the cops would have caught her.
