Mossberg reviews MacBook Air – WSJ.com

I’m beginning to realize that the optimal traveling configuration for me is a smartphone with all my contacts (currently an iPhone), a subnotebook with both wifi and 3G WAN connections and my 17” MacBook Pro.

The MacBook Pro is for demos and where I have working space (hotel rooms, conference rooms, etc). The subnotebook would be for planes, trains and automobiles — those times when a phone doesn’t cut it and you don’t have the room to sit down and work.

The MacBook Air just isn’t that device as much as I’d like it to be. I need a small notebook with 3G built in, preferrably HSDPA so I can use my exisiting AT&T SIM and account.

Anybody got any suggestions?
