Netscape wasn’t the problem. Google’s not the problem (though Google is the new “evil empire”). It’s the host of services that work well together that are the problem for Redmond. I used to say Microsoft was the shark — always swimming, always hungry, never sleeping. Now the shark is surrounded bya school of next-gen Web piranha — always swimming, always hungry, never sleeping and eating away at it bit by bit.
