Google Voice Now Open to All Students

This isn’t just for students! Many alumni programs provide a “lifetime email address” with a .edu extention that you can forward to your current email. In my case it’s my Harvard Business School address that ends in .hbs.edu. If you’ve been wanting to try Google Voice and still can use your alumni email address this is a great way to get into the program.

I’ve been using Google Voice for months across multiple devices and love it. While voicemail transcription to text doesn’t work well, all the other features from call routing to web message management are great. If you have an Android phone the integration is seamless, with a Blackberry it’s still pretty easy to use.
