Mitch McConnell Accuses Obama Of Plan To Seize Internet

Advocates of net neutrality want the Federal Communications Commission to write rules preventing companies such as Comcast from giving priority to certain websites while making others slower to load. Such rules, said McConnell, the Senate minority leader, would amount to a takeover of the Internet. But without such rules, advocates of net neutrality say, a few major corporations would instead control the web.

Once you strip away all the rhetoric and bluster, all the net neutrality arguments come down to a simple premise — who do you trust? Do you trust Comcast or Verizon or AT&T to always deliver an unrestricted flow of data or not?
