CHART OF THE DAY: “Old People Suck At Startups”

“Or as Michael Arrington put it today, “Old people suck at startups.”

I’m sure there are a class of VCs who prefer younger founders. They expected them to work longer, have fewer family requirements (spouse, kids), low burn rate (cars, mortgage) and can be, though not always, less sophisticated executives and managers of their companies. It’s easier for VCs to get the terms they want.

However to assume that all the best ideas, the best execution and the best marketing opportunity are relegated to the under 25 crowd is as silly as saying that only startups in Silicon Valley can succeed.
