cutting the cord: the death of DVD

As part of my ongoing series about cutting the cord, I wanted to share this infographic about the decline of physical media and the increase in streaming content. Earlier this year I got rid of my entire Blu-Ray collection, as well as my Sony PS3 which I only used for playing discs, not games.

As I’ve been saying in my blog posts, if I can’t stream it (or watch sports via broadcast HDTV) I don’t try to watch it at home. From this chart on the death of physical media looks like I’m not alone.
