I recently wrote about taking a black and white film photography class and the value of always working to learn something new. You have to commit to learning and be open to seeing new things if you hope to get anything out of it. For this class it was great not only to learn film developing and darkroom techniques but to also stretch creatively towards a connected, cohesive group of images.
Last week I turned in the final project images printed and matted. You can see the images above as well as on Flickr and Instagram. These images are digital edits from scanned negatives, not scans of the final RC prints I turned in. All photos were shot with a Leica R6.2 film SLR on Ilford HP5+ film.
If you like these or any of my other photos please leave a comment. It’s only through your feedback that I can continue to learn and improve.
